Terms of Service

Snapassport is a Solo Guy Lab product. Solo Guy Lab publishes and operates this service from San Francisco, California. References to “we,” “us,” and “our” mean the operator of Snapassport under the Solo Guy Lab name.

Snapassport checks your photo against published government passport and visa specifications and, where possible, automatically corrects fixable issues (such as crop, size, lighting, and background) using AI. We then give you a print-ready photo.

We validate against the published specs we have, but we cannot guarantee that any government, embassy, or other authority will accept your photo. Acceptance depends on factors outside our control, including how an official applies the rules, your physical appearance and pose, and changes to the specs. Snapassport is an independent service and is not affiliated with or endorsed by any government authority.

When our AI corrects your photo, it is constrained by a face-geometry signature derived from your original photo. After each edit we compare the result to that signature; if the edit would change your identity, we reject it. The AI is meant to clean up a photo, not to alter who you are.

We show you the finished Premium Photo before you decide whether to pay. If you pay and the Premium Photo cannot pass our validation checks, your payment is automatically refunded in full — you do not need to ask. Refunds are returned to your original payment method via our payment processor and may take several business days to appear.

Beyond that guarantee, digital orders have a 14-day, no-questions-asked refund, while printed products we produce and ship are made to order and are not refundable for a change of mind — though we will always reprint or refund a print order if something is wrong on our end. • Upload only a photo of yourself, or of a person you are authorized to act for.
• Do not upload a photo of a third party without that person’s consent (or, for a child, the consent of their parent or legal guardian).
• Do not upload unlawful content, attempt to misuse the AI to impersonate someone, or use the service to interfere with its operation or security.

You are responsible for the photos you submit and you represent that you have the rights and consents needed to upload and edit them.

Snapassport is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that a photo we produce will be accepted by any authority.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Snapassport and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost time, or rejected applications. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us for the order giving rise to the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

Your photo and the face-geometry signature we derive from it are handled as described in our Privacy Policy. Photos and generated photo files are retained for up to 28 days after upload. If you separately opt in through our first-visit notice, we may use that photo and related image-derived data to train, evaluate, and improve Snapassport's own models and services. Your use of the service is also subject to that policy.

These Terms are governed by the laws of California, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. This does not remove any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have where you live.
